This year, Art Basel has made a full comeback, bringing together 242 leading international galleries from 40 countries and regions. The event takes place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, offering a diverse range of art projects throughout the city. The number of participating galleries has increased by 37% compared to 2023, marking a return to pre-pandemic scale. This edition of the exhibition once again focuses on the rich art creations of Asia and other regions, with over half of the participating galleries operating in Asia. Among the 69 returning galleries are renowned names such as Galerie Lelong & Co. from France, Galleria d'Art Maggiore G.A.M. from Italy, kurimanzutto from Mexico, and Experimenter from India. Additionally, 23 galleries from Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Americas are participating for the first time.
